3TC Facility Expands Rochester's Indoor Pickleball Access with Three New Courts

The 3TC sports facility in East Rochester has expanded its offerings by adding three indoor pickleball courts to meet increasing demand for the sport in the region. The courts, operating under the name Pickleball @3TC, are available to the public without membership requirements during weekday hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with adjusted Wednesday hours ending at 3 p.m.

This development is significant as it addresses a critical shortage of indoor pickleball facilities in Rochester, providing year-round access regardless of weather conditions. The courts feature an Omnicourt cushioned surface designed to provide consistent ball bounce, excellent traction, and shock absorption to minimize joint impact during play. "This is a beautiful facility for pickleball with excellent lighting and generous court spacing," said Tom Curtin, who oversees pickleball operations at the facility.

The facility will offer structured Open Play sessions throughout the day, with morning sessions from 7-9 a.m. and 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and afternoon sessions from 1-4 p.m. (1-3 p.m. on Wednesdays). Pricing is set at $10 for two-hour sessions and $12 for three-hour sessions. To manage court quality and player experience, attendance will be capped at 20 players for two-hour sessions and 24 players for three-hour sessions.

Registration for sessions requires downloading the Craig Demmin Soccer app, creating an account, and reserving spots through the pickleball schedule available at ROC3TC.com. The facility is offering incentives to attract new players, including a free first session for those who download the app, create an account, and sign the waiver. Throughout December, deposit bonuses provide additional value, with $50 deposits yielding $60 in Open Play credits and $100 deposits yielding $120 in credits.

Craig Demmin, owner and operator of 3TC and former professional soccer player with the Rochester Raging Rhinos, views the pickleball expansion as complementary to existing soccer programs. "This is an ideal complement to our soccer programs. Pickleball is booming and there is a growing need for indoor courts to meet the tremendous demand in Rochester. We're pleased to be a part of the Rochester pickleball community," Demmin said.

The addition of pickleball courts at 3TC represents a strategic response to shifting recreational trends, as pickleball continues to be one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. By converting underutilized space within their 20,000 square-foot multi-sport facility, 3TC demonstrates how established sports organizations can adapt to emerging market demands while maintaining their core offerings. The facility's location at 920 Linden Avenue in East Rochester positions it to serve players throughout the region seeking consistent, high-quality indoor pickleball opportunities.
