ABANCA USA Hosts Real Estate Forum 2026, Spotlights Miami's Future as Global Hub

Miami's evolution as a global real estate hub took center stage at the Real Estate Forum 2026, organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the US and presented by ABANCA USA. Held at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) on May 22, 2026, the event gathered more than 150 developers, investors, financial executives, brokers, architects, urban planners and business leaders from the United States, Spain and Latin America.

The forum opened with a conversation between Mónica Vázquez, president of the Spain-United States Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of ABANCA USA, and Muayad Abbas, Managing Director of Development of OKO Group and professor at the University of Miami. They analyzed Miami's evolution as a global city, the sustained growth of the residential market and the city's attractiveness for long-term investments.

Throughout the day, executives and experts discussed key trends transforming South Florida's real estate market, including the growth of the multifamily segment, the evolution of mixed-use spaces, corporate relocation, and infrastructure and affordable housing challenges. Prominent industry players such as Rilea Group, Constellation, Empira, Berkadia, Key International, JLL, Coastal Construction, DDA, Blanca Real Estate, among others, reaffirmed Miami's role as an international hub.

ABANCA USA's participation highlighted its position as a key actor in the city's transformation, offering personalized financial solutions and a global vision of the business. In recent years, the bank has positioned itself as one of the most active players in project financing in the region, participating in multifamily, office, retail, hotel and industrial developments.

The forum also emphasized how economic and population growth in South Florida continues to drive new real estate developments, as well as the need for greater collaboration between the private sector and public institutions to sustain urban growth efficiently and sustainably. This event underscores Miami's continued attraction of capital, companies and international interest, reinforcing its status as a premier destination for real estate investment and development.
