Actelis Networks has secured a significant contract to upgrade Orange County's intelligent transportation system infrastructure, marking another milestone in the company's expansion across high-growth technology sectors.
The contract, awarded through partner Western Systems, will enhance traffic management capabilities in Orange County, California's third most populous county. By leveraging its hybrid-fiber technology, Actelis can deliver fiber-grade performance using existing infrastructure, offering substantial cost savings and accelerated project timelines.
This win follows recent strategic orders in military base modernization and railway infrastructure, demonstrating the company's versatility in critical networking solutions. The Orange County project joins similar infrastructure upgrades in Washington D.C., Seattle, and Ventura County, underscoring the growing demand for advanced networking technologies.
Actelis' recent financial performance supports its market expansion strategy. The company reported 38% revenue growth in fiscal year 2024, reaching $7.8 million, with gross margins more than doubling to 55%. Operating expenses were simultaneously reduced by 13%, and loss per share decreased by 67%.
The global smart cities market is projected to reach $300 billion by 2032, with intelligent transportation systems expected to hit $65.33 billion. Actelis appears strategically positioned to capitalize on these emerging markets, offering secure and rapidly deployable networking infrastructure.
Industry analyst Theodore O'Neill from Litchfield Hills Research maintains a Buy rating on Actelis, noting the company's promising trajectory and significant valuation discount compared to industry peers.
