American Tungsten Corp. (CSE: TUNG) (OTCQB: DEMRF) (FSE: RK9) has taken a significant step forward in its exploration efforts at the Ima Mine in Idaho with the publication of an NI 43-101-compliant technical report. The company is now setting its sights on a summer 2025 exploration program, which includes the rehabilitation of the D level to facilitate underground drilling and bulk sampling for metallurgical testwork. This initiative aims to explore extensions of the No. 5 and No. 7 veins, the southwest continuation of the West Ima vein, the Eastern Vein system, and deeper sections of the main Ima vein, alongside assessing additional potential across Patterson Creek.
CEO Ali Haji highlighted the opportunity presented by historical drilling data from Gentor and Inspiration, which suggests low-risk avenues for expanding known mineralization zones. However, the company cautions that the target grades and tonnages are currently conceptual, relying on unverified historical data, and emphasizes the necessity of further exploration to accurately define any mineral resources. This development is crucial for stakeholders and the mining industry, as it underscores the potential for significant tungsten resource expansion, which is vital for various industrial applications, including electronics, aerospace, and defense sectors.
