Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. Uncovers High-Grade Copper and Silver at Epworth Project

Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. (TSX.V: BAY) (OTCQB: ATBHF) has reported promising results from its 2024 exploration program at the Epworth Project in Nunavut, with surface samples showing copper grades up to 61.2% and silver up to 5,600 g/t. The discovery, supported by a MobileMT airborne geophysical survey, identified extensive conductive bodies within the Proterozoic Recluse Group rocks, suggesting the presence of potential reductants like pyrite or graphite. CEO Thomas Ullrich highlighted the findings' significance, drawing parallels to successful sediment-hosted copper systems in Central Africa and the company's own Storm Copper Project.

The exploration targets, spanning tens of kilometers and mostly within 300 meters of the surface, underscore the potential for a large-scale copper system. Aston Bay is considering drilling later in the season to further investigate these findings. This development is crucial for the mining industry and investors, as it not only highlights the Epworth Project's potential but also reinforces the viability of sediment-hosted copper systems as a significant source of high-grade copper and silver. The implications of these findings could extend beyond Aston Bay, offering insights into exploration strategies and the potential for similar discoveries in comparable geological settings.
