AZIO AI Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZIO) announced the launch of Atlas One, the first named development phase of Project Atlas, its more than 548-acre South Texas compute infrastructure campus designed for up to 500 MW of planned behind-the-meter power capacity. The company said that approximately 6 MW of compute infrastructure, part of roughly 11 MW of secured behind-the-meter power, has been activated and achieved about 97.8% uptime.

This activation represents a significant milestone for the company, which is transitioning from its former identity as Envirotech Vehicles, Inc. to focus on integrated compute infrastructure. The initial phase brings together land, power, connectivity, and modular compute infrastructure that the company has been developing since May 2026. The planned capacity of up to 500 MW would be in addition to the 11 MW already secured, indicating a substantial scaling ambition.

The company is deploying capital, equipment, and engineering resources toward the initial 11 MW phase. This includes additional compute containers, generation, electrical infrastructure, natural gas pipeline and metering work, fiber, and site improvements. Subsequent phases are intended to support AI/GPU hosting, high-performance computing, and dedicated customer capacity, while retaining a portion for company-operated Bitcoin mining.

A key component of Atlas One is its connectivity infrastructure. The company has entered into a Master Services Agreement with AT&T for dedicated enterprise fiber, with approximately $2.4 million committed for high-capacity connectivity. This connectivity is essential for the data-intensive workloads the campus aims to serve.

However, realizing the full planned capacity will require further generation, equipment, permitting, financing, and customer commitments. This indicates that while the initial phase is operational, the larger vision depends on additional factors that are not yet fully secured. The company's strategy involves developing behind-the-meter, power-backed campuses in Texas to support power-intensive compute workloads as these commitments are obtained.

The announcement underscores the growing trend of tech companies investing in dedicated compute infrastructure to meet the demands of AI and high-performance computing. By securing its own power and connectivity, AZIO aims to offer reliable and scalable solutions to customers, potentially positioning itself as a key player in the compute infrastructure market. The initial uptime of nearly 98% suggests a stable foundation, but the path to 500 MW will be a long-term endeavor requiring significant investment and partnerships.
