AZIO AI Holdings (NASDAQ: AZIO) has entered into a power purchase and hosting agreement with Power Champion Investment Limited at its Atlas One compute infrastructure campus in South Texas, the company announced. The agreement establishes an initial contracted capacity of 10 megawatts (MW), with expansion rights up to 50 MW, subject to infrastructure improvements and other conditions. This marks the first hosting contract at Atlas One, a 548-acre campus designed for up to 500 MW of planned power capacity, and signals growing demand for specialized infrastructure to support artificial intelligence computing.
Under the terms, AZIO AI will provide power, leased facility space, interconnectivity, and hosting services for AI computing equipment. At the initial 10 MW capacity, the company expects approximately $1.5 million in monthly capacity reservation charges, totaling $90 million over the five-year initial term, excluding electricity sales and additional services. Full expansion to 50 MW could generate approximately $450 million in capacity reservation charges over the same period. For investors, the deal provides a tangible revenue framework and validates the company’s pivot to AI infrastructure following its former identity as Envirotech Vehicles, Inc.
However, service commencement remains subject to infrastructure development, required U.S. export control approvals, and other contractual conditions. No capacity has yet been energized under the new agreement, and expansion beyond the initial 10 MW has not been exercised. Approximately 11 MW has been secured to date at Atlas One, including 6 MW currently activated. These contingencies mean the projected revenues are not guaranteed and depend on timely execution and regulatory clearances.
The agreement underscores the intensifying race to build power-backed data centers capable of handling power-intensive AI workloads. As AI models grow more complex, the need for reliable, high-capacity compute infrastructure becomes critical. AZIO AI’s behind-the-meter approach in Texas, where energy costs are often lower, could offer a competitive advantage if the company can deliver on its expansion plans. For the industry, the deal highlights how traditional energy and real estate assets are being repurposed for AI, potentially reshaping local economies and energy grids.
For readers and investors, the news matters because it demonstrates a concrete step in monetizing AI infrastructure. The initial 10 MW contract, while modest, provides a template for future agreements and could attract additional customers to Atlas One. The full press release can be viewed at https://ibn.fm/7uT4q.
