Bank Independent Stadium at UNA Reaches Construction Milestone

The construction of Bank Independent Stadium at the University of North Alabama (UNA) has reached a pivotal milestone with the topping out ceremony, signaling the placement of the final structural beam. This $65 million multipurpose facility, managed by Birmingham-based HPM, is set to open in Fall 2026, offering a new venue for athletic and community events in Florence, Alabama.

Bank Independent Stadium will feature Bobby Wallace Field and a three-level press tower among other amenities, designed to host UNA's football, baseball, and soccer teams, as well as the marching band. The project also includes a 2,760 square foot video board, enhancing the experience for both games and community events. UNA and HPM have collaborated closely to ensure the project meets its timelines, with the stadium's design allowing for 360-degree concourse access, ensuring unobstructed views for fans.
