BaoLai Steel Group, a leading manufacturer of galvanized steel pipes, emphasizes the critical importance of zinc coating in protecting metals from rust and corrosion, significantly extending their service life. The company maintains nearly 100% customer satisfaction through standardized processing procedures and stringent quality controls at every production stage.
The galvanization process begins with sourcing high-quality raw materials, specifically zinc ingots with 99% zinc content, ensuring optimal protection from the source. BaoLai operates five galvanizing lines, including three blow-galvanizing lines for smaller pipes with smoother surfaces and two hoist-galvanizing lines for larger pipes with higher zinc content.
The comprehensive hot-dip galvanizing process consists of three main stages: pre-treatment, galvanizing, and post-treatment. Pre-treatment involves acid washing to remove rust, water washing to eliminate acid residue, and applying galvanizing auxiliary fluid to prevent oxidation and enhance zinc adhesion. During the galvanizing stage, pipes undergo lining up and drying to remove moisture before immersion in molten zinc to form a protective layer.
Post-treatment includes cooling to solidify the zinc coating, passivation to improve corrosion resistance, and final water washing and drying to remove residual solutions. Each finished product undergoes rigorous inspection to meet customer specifications and industry standards. The company's manufacturing capabilities support various applications, including water conveyance, oil and gas transportation, and fire fighting systems.
Located in Tianjin, China, BaoLai's 130,000-square-meter facility offers one-stop services from galvanizing processing to hydrostatic testing, threading, grooving, and painting. This integrated approach ensures consistent quality and reliability for global infrastructure projects, highlighting the strategic importance of durable steel pipes in industrial and engineering solutions.
