Stewart Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning has donated and installed a 40-gallon electric water heater at Hugs for Harry Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that saves and rehabilitates vulnerable dogs across the Bay Area. The donation, announced on April 29, 2026, provides essential hot water for a new in-house laundry facility and dog washing station at the rescue's Lafayette location, which moved in January 2026.
The water heater addresses critical infrastructure needs at the new facility, which offered additional space but lacked adequate plumbing and hot water access. The laundry and washing stations are vital for maintaining sanitation and grooming standards, reducing the risk of disease and improving animal welfare. By covering the cost of the water heater and installation, Stewart Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning helps the rescue redirect funds toward daily care, medical treatment, and adoption efforts.
