Greene Concepts Inc. announced that its Be Water artesian spring water brand is now available on Walmart.com, expanding national access to bottled water defined by geological filtration and responsible aquifer stewardship. This expansion comes as consumers increasingly seek transparency about product origins, positioning Be Water as an alternative to waters that rely on municipal sources or extensive industrial processing.
The water is sourced from springs and aquifer formations beneath North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, where it rises naturally through fractures in billion-year-old bedrock. Rainwater travels slowly through layers of ancient crystalline rock, undergoing natural filtration and absorbing trace minerals including calcium, magnesium, and silica. This geological process creates a smooth taste and balanced mineral profile before the water reaches the surface, distinguishing it from waters that are engineered after collection.
"Be Water is created underground through natural filtration and geological processes," said Lenny Greene, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Greene Concepts Inc. "Our responsibility is stewardship — withdrawing only what the aquifer naturally replaces so the source remains sustainable for generations." The company manages withdrawal rates carefully to maintain natural pressure and long-term health of the aquifer system, which lies within a fractured crystalline bedrock system formed during the Grenville Orogeny over one billion years ago.
Once collected, the water undergoes gentle filtration and ozone treatment to ensure purity while preserving its natural mineral composition, with nothing added or stripped away. It is bottled at the company's 60,000-square-foot facility in Marion, North Carolina, using premium BPA-free packaging with a durable 22-gram bottle. This approach bridges the gap between luxury imported waters and commodity bottled tap water, with pricing designed for everyday hydration.
The availability on Walmart.com represents a significant expansion for the brand, which is also available through select national retailers including select Walmart locations and Camping World. This move increases consumer access to a product that emphasizes natural origin over industrial reconstruction, reflecting broader trends toward sustainability and transparency in the beverage industry. The brand's focus on responsible aquifer management and American craftsmanship positions it within a growing segment of consumers prioritizing environmental stewardship alongside product quality.
