Bila Solar Launches U.S. Manufacturing with Indiana Factory, Boosting Clean Energy Sector

Bila Solar's new Indianapolis factory has begun producing domestic solar panels, a move that strengthens the U.S. clean energy manufacturing sector. This development is timely, as it aligns with national efforts to reshore manufacturing and reduce reliance on imported technologies. The facility, Central Indiana's first and soon-to-be largest solar panel factory, is expected to create over 75 advanced manufacturing jobs this year, contributing to local economic growth and workforce development.

The factory's production includes ultra-lightweight solar modules and newly launched 550W dual-glass conventional panels, utilizing U.S.-made solar cells. These products qualify for the 10% domestic content bonus under the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), offering added value to developers and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies. Bila Solar aims to reach 300 megawatts of annual capacity in Phase 1, with plans to scale up to 1 gigawatt at full buildout.

This initiative comes at a critical juncture for the U.S. solar industry, which is experiencing a surge in demand for domestically manufactured components. Despite challenges such as shifting federal policies and tariffs on materials, the sector remains resilient.
