Mullen Automotive's subsidiary Bollinger Motors has delivered its B4 all-electric Class 4 commercial vehicle to the Lower East Side Ecology Center in New York City, marking a significant step in urban environmental transportation. The truck, funded by the NYC Council, will support the center's composting and environmental programs as its first electric vehicle.
The Bollinger B4 features advanced specifications designed for urban operations, including a 158-kWh battery, 185-mile range, and a 16-foot dry box with a power lift gate. This delivery represents a practical application of electric vehicle technology in municipal and ecological services, demonstrating the potential for sustainable transportation solutions.
The truck's deployment comes at a time when cities are increasingly seeking to reduce carbon emissions and modernize their fleet infrastructure. By utilizing an electric vehicle for ecological work, the LES Ecology Center is showcasing a model for integrating green technology into municipal and non-profit environmental services.
This delivery aligns with Mullen Automotive's broader strategy of developing commercial electric vehicles. The company has already received federal EV tax credit approval and CARB certification for its vehicles, positioning itself as a competitive player in the emerging electric commercial vehicle market.
