Brera Holdings PLC, a global sports investment group, has signed a letter of intent to introduce PLAY LEAP, an innovative digital fan engagement platform, to its portfolio of sports clubs. The company will pilot the platform with Italian Serie B club Juve Stabia after the 2024/25 season, marking a strategic move to modernize fan interaction and create new digital revenue opportunities.
PLAY LEAP, developed by Israeli sports-tech company Leap Sport Digital Ltd., offers a Software-as-a-Service model specifically designed to attract younger, mobile-native fans. The platform features interactive challenges and content sharing capabilities that aim to deepen fan connection and participation.
This initiative represents a significant shift in sports club engagement strategies, recognizing the importance of digital platforms in maintaining and expanding fan bases. By providing gamified experiences, Brera Holdings seeks to transform passive spectators into active participants, potentially creating more loyal and commercially valuable fan communities.
The platform's monetization strategy is directly tied to fan engagement, suggesting a potential new revenue stream for sports clubs in an increasingly digital entertainment landscape. Brera Holdings plans to roll out PLAY LEAP across its growing network of sports clubs, indicating a broader commitment to digital innovation in sports management.
