BTQ Technologies Corp. has signed a three-year commercial agreement with Kaia DLT Foundation to deploy its Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN) across the Kaia blockchain ecosystem. The deal, announced in a press release, represents the first recurring commercial deployment of QSSN and positions BTQ to earn a portion of transaction fees generated by QSSN-secured activity on Kaia.
Under the agreement, BTQ expects first-year revenue in the six figures, with total revenue over the three-year term tied to transaction volume. The financial terms highlight the growing demand for quantum-resistant security solutions in the blockchain industry, where the threat of quantum computing to existing cryptographic standards is a rising concern.
QSSN will provide account-level protection for stablecoins on Kaia, extending across its transaction and settlement infrastructure as well as applications built on the blockchain. This means that every stablecoin transaction on Kaia could be shielded from potential quantum attacks, a significant upgrade for users and developers alike.
Among the first consumer use cases for QSSN on Kaia is LINE NEXT Inc.'s Unifi Wallet, which supports stablecoins including USDT, Japan's JPYC, and Indonesia's IDRP. The integration of QSSN into a wallet with such broad stablecoin support could accelerate adoption of quantum-secure transactions in everyday digital payments, particularly in Asian markets where LINE has a strong presence.
BTQ Technologies, listed on NASDAQ: BTQ and CBOE CA: BTQ, is a quantum technology company focused on accelerating the transition from classical networks to the quantum internet. Backed by a broad patent portfolio and deep technical expertise, BTQ is developing a full-stack, neutral-atom quantum computing platform spanning hardware, middleware, and post-quantum security solutions for finance, telecommunications, logistics, life sciences, and defense.
This agreement matters because it signals a commercial milestone for quantum-safe security in the blockchain space. As quantum computing advances, traditional cryptographic methods used to secure stablecoins and other digital assets could become vulnerable. By deploying QSSN on Kaia, BTQ is not only generating recurring revenue but also establishing a reference case for how blockchains can future-proof their infrastructure.
For the stablecoin market, which has grown into a multi-hundred-billion-dollar ecosystem, the adoption of quantum-resistant security could become a competitive differentiator. Exchanges, wallet providers, and payment platforms may increasingly demand such protections to safeguard user funds and maintain trust.
Investors and industry watchers will be monitoring BTQ's execution of this deal, as it could pave the way for similar agreements with other blockchain networks. The company's newsroom at https://ibn.fm/BTQ will likely provide updates on QSSN's rollout and additional partnerships.
While the press release includes forward-looking statements subject to risks and uncertainties, the commercial agreement itself is a concrete step toward integrating quantum-safe technologies into mainstream blockchain operations. If successful, it could set a precedent for the broader adoption of post-quantum cryptography in digital finance.
