California Tortilla Launches Fundraiser in Memory of Ethan Schwartz to Support Happy 2 Be Home

California Tortilla, a fast-casual restaurant franchise known for its 'California style' Mexican food, has announced a month-long fundraiser this July to honor the memory of Ethan Schwartz, a longtime fan, and to support Happy 2 Be Home. Participating locations will donate a portion of their Chips & Queso sales to the nonprofit, which aids families in making home improvements for children with chronic and multiple disabilities.

The initiative was inspired by a cherished memory shared by Ethan's father, Eric Schwartz, during California Tortilla's 30th-anniversary celebration. Ethan, who communicated nonverbally and used a wheelchair, was a devoted customer. A memorable moment occurred when Eric, with queso on his chin, realized Ethan was teasing him, leading to a shared laugh that has since become a symbol of joy and connection for the family.
