Canada One Mining Corp. has received a significant exploration drilling permit from the British Columbia Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals for its flagship Copper Dome Project. The 5-year permit will enable the company to comprehensively explore its 100% owned property located near Princeton, British Columbia.
CEO Peter Berdusco highlighted the strategic importance of the permit, emphasizing that it allows the company to fully explore the project through to potential discovery. The company's immediate focus will be on the newly identified Boundary Zone, discovered in 2023.
During the planned 2025 field season, the company will prioritize exploration targets based on comprehensive geological, geochemical, geophysical, and structural data analysis. Historical drilling in the Friday Creek and Combination Creek Zones has already demonstrated promising copper and gold intercepts, suggesting potential mineral resources.
The project's location is particularly notable, with its northern border situated just 1.5 kilometers from Hudbay Mineral's Copper Mountain Mine deposits. This proximity could provide strategic advantages in understanding the regional geological potential and mineral depositing environments.
The exploration permit represents a critical step for Canada One Mining as it seeks to develop its mineral resources and contribute to the growing global demand for critical metals. The company's methodical approach to exploration underscores its commitment to responsible resource development.
