The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) is commemorating five decades of industry leadership by launching an innovative fundraising campaign that supports children battling cancer. In partnership with General Coach Canada, the association has donated a 2025 25' Citation Reward Travel Trailer to Care Camps, a charitable organization providing specialized outdoor experiences for young cancer patients.
The donated RV will be used for a year-long fundraising initiative, with 100% of proceeds directly benefiting Care Camps. Raffle tickets will be available at the Toronto Spring Camping and RV Show from February 27 to March 2, 2025, where the custom-wrapped vehicle will be unveiled.
Following the Toronto event, the RV will embark on a cross-country journey, appearing at various festivals and shows to highlight CRVA's rich history and promote the RV lifestyle. The campaign represents more than a celebration of the association's 50-year milestone; it demonstrates the industry's commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
CRVA President Shane Devenish emphasized the significance of the anniversary, noting it is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of board members, dedicated industry partners, and stakeholders who have supported the association's growth since its founding in 1975.
The initiative reflects CRVA's evolution from a small group of industry leaders focused on establishing quality standards to a comprehensive organization that advocates for RV manufacturers, promotes consumer education, and supports meaningful community causes.
