Capriotti's Sandwich Shop Reopens Colorado Springs Location Under Corporate Ownership

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is set to reopen its Colorado Springs location at 5856 Barnes Rd. on September 15, according to a company announcement. The 1,433-square-foot restaurant will operate under new corporate ownership, a move that signals a fresh start for the brand in the community and the first step in a wider revitalization effort that will also include the Cheyenne Road location.

The reopening brings back popular menu items such as The Bobbie®, which has been voted "Greatest Sandwich in America," and the brand's award-winning cheesesteaks. The full lineup will feature signature offerings like The Bobbie®, made with slow-roasted, hand-pulled Butterball® turkey, and the Classic Cheesesteak, an official member of the Cheesesteak Hall of Fame. Additionally, the new Cooper Sharp® Cheesesteak will be available for a limited time, alongside a selection of subs made with ultra-premium American Wagyu from Snake River Farms®.

"We're excited to take over the Barnes Road location and serve Capriotti's loyal Colorado Springs fans under new corporate ownership," said Ashley Morris, Capriotti's CEO. "This community has always shown incredible passion for our subs, and we're committed to giving every guest the high-quality experience they deserve. Best of all, this is just the beginning. We're already gearing up to bring that same commitment to our Cheyenne Road location next."

To celebrate the grand reopening, the location will host promotions throughout the day on September 15. The first 50 customers through the door at 9 a.m. will receive a free small 8" sub for their next visit, and guests can spin a prize wheel for swag and prizes throughout the day. A live radio remote will run from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring a free-subs-for-a-year giveaway, followed by Capriotti's swag bag giveaways from 5 to 8 p.m.

Regular hours of operation for the Barnes Road location will be Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The shop offers dine-in, pickup, and delivery options, along with catering services for group events and local gatherings.

Customers can join Capriotti's Rewards by providing a phone number at checkout or enrolling at capriottis.com/freesub. Opting in for SMS unlocks exclusive deals and updates, including a free small 8" sub with a pre-tax purchase of $2 or more. Members also earn points on every purchase, get early access to new menu items, and receive a special birthday reward, among other perks.
