Chevo, a women-owned small business specializing in management consulting, has been selected as one of six awardees for a $300 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The contract, spanning five years, is aimed at providing non-IT consulting support services to the Wage & Investment (W&I) division, now known as Taxpayer Services.
This award marks Chevo's 29th prime contract with the IRS, underscoring the company's long-standing relationship with the agency since its inception in 2002. The BPA, awarded through the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), will focus on delivering expert strategic, technical, and program management advice to support the IRS's strategic objectives.
The contract's scope encompasses a wide range of services, including strategic planning, concept of operations, organizational studies, statistical analysis, business process improvement, regulatory compliance, instructional design, and program integration. These services are crucial for the IRS's mission to enhance taxpayer service, improve workforce performance, and strengthen foundational capabilities.
Zaina Sahady, CEO of Chevo, expressed pride in the company's continued partnership with the IRS, emphasizing their 22-year history of collaboration on critical programs. The award reflects the IRS's ongoing efforts to modernize its operations and improve service delivery to taxpayers.
This contract is particularly significant as it aligns with the IRS's vision to simplify tax compliance for citizens and enhance overall operational efficiency. As the tax landscape continues to evolve, the expertise provided by firms like Chevo will be instrumental in helping the IRS adapt to changing needs and technologies.
The award to Chevo and other consultancies signals a continued investment by the IRS in external expertise to drive innovation and improvement in taxpayer services. This approach may lead to more streamlined processes, improved taxpayer experiences, and potentially more efficient tax collection and administration systems in the coming years.
