The Chlorine Institute recently conducted its annual CHLOREP Team Training at the Mississippi State Fire Academy, bringing together 124 emergency professionals from 30 states and four countries to enhance their preparedness for chlorine-related incidents.

The training, part of the Chlorine Emergency Plan (CHLOREP) mutual aid program, involved 75 expert instructors teaching hands-on emergency response techniques. Participants from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Trinidad and Tobago received comprehensive instruction focused on managing potential chemical emergencies.

Robyn Kinsley, CI's Vice President of Transportation and Emergency Preparedness, emphasized the organization's proactive approach to safety. The training underscores the critical role of chlorine in essential industries such as water disinfection, public health, pharmaceutical production, and energy sectors.

By providing comprehensive emergency response training, the Chlorine Institute aims to reduce potential risks and ensure rapid, expert support during chlorine-related incidents across North America. The program represents a crucial investment in industrial safety and emergency preparedness, potentially preventing or mitigating dangerous chemical situations.
