Comedy Village NYC, Times Square’s home for live stand-up comedy, will host two special Pride Month events this June, celebrating laughter, identity, and community. The shows, titled “People Be Gay... and Hilarious!” on Wednesday, June 24 at 8PM and “Celebrate Pride Feat” on Thursday, June 25 at 8PM, will take place at the venue located at 352 West 44th Street in Times Square.
The lineup includes standout comedians such as Harrison Greenbaum, Jaye McBride, Akeem Woods, Paula J. Leon, and Oscar Aydin. Greenbaum, known for his appearances on America’s Got Talent, Conan, and Last Comic Standing, brings sharp writing and fast-paced delivery. McBride, a trailblazing transgender comedian, was the first openly transgender American comedian to perform at Madison Square Garden and was named to Vulture’s “Comedians You Should and Will Know” list in 2022. Woods adds charisma and rhythm, while Aydin contributes a bold stage presence.
According to a Comedy Village representative, these shows aim to celebrate Pride with laughter, visibility, and community, bringing together locals, tourists, LGBTQ+ audiences, allies, and Broadway visitors for a high-energy night of live comedy. The venue, located steps from Broadway and the Theater District, has grown as a destination for live stand-up comedy, nightlife, group outings, and date nights.
