Condor Resources CEO Chris Buncic recently provided a comprehensive update on the company's current projects and community engagement efforts. Speaking with Steve Darling from Proactive, Buncic detailed the progress and future plans for various exploration initiatives, including the pivotal Pucamayo project.
Buncic highlighted the successful 2023 drill results from Pucamayo, which confirmed the presence of at least one hydro-magmatic center. The mineralization findings included gold, silver, and elevated values of lead, zinc, and copper. This validation is a crucial step for the company, solidifying its exploration thesis and guiding future activities.
In addition to the findings at Pucamayo, Condor Resources received notice from the Ministry of Energy and Mines that a separate Environmental Impact Assessment (DIA) is required for the South East Target. The application process has been initiated, and the community has shown strong support for the company's exploration efforts. Plans are underway to expand the drill program to include an additional 40 drill holes in this target area.
Buncic also provided updates on other significant projects, including Huinac Punta and Andrea. After several years of inactivity, the company is now engaged in positive discussions with local community leaders. These conversations aim to provide a detailed overview of Condor's activities in Peru and the benefits these projects can bring to the local community.
Regarding the Huinac Punta project, known for its high-grade silver deposits, the company is working through the consulted previous process, which is a government requirement for culturally sensitive areas. Progress in this area is anticipated by early autumn, potentially leading to new drilling activities.
Overall, Condor Resources is making significant strides in its exploration projects and maintaining constructive engagement with local communities. These efforts not only advance the company's operational goals but also aim to bring tangible benefits to the areas in which they operate.
