Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. (CSE: CTTT) has executed a Memorandum of Understanding with Denmark's largest defense technology company, Terma A/S, establishing a framework for cooperation focused on integrating radar systems into autonomous communications platforms for defense and security applications. The agreement represents a strategic alignment between two specialized technology providers aiming to address operational challenges in demanding environments through combined capabilities.
The collaboration centers on integrating Terma's radar technology with CiTech's Self-Deploying Communications Platform, known as the Nexus platform. This integration aims to create solutions that enhance situational awareness and operational flexibility for defense and security customers across international markets. The companies will assess technical feasibility, identify commercial opportunities, and develop operational use cases for the combined system.
According to Brenton Scott, Chief Executive Officer of CiTech, "This collaboration creates the opportunity to combine Terma's proven radar technology with CiTech's rapidly deployable autonomous communications platform. Together, we aim to demonstrate an integrated solution that supports defence and security operations in demanding environments." The partnership reflects Terma's strategic approach to exploring new applications for its technology through innovative collaborations.
Steen Trier, Vice President of Global Sales Surveillance & Mission Systems at Terma, stated, "This MOU reflects Terma's ambition to collaborate with innovative partners to explore new operational applications of our radar technology. By assessing how our systems can complement CiTech's platform, we aim to evaluate solutions that enhance situational awareness and operational flexibility for defence and security customers." The companies have scheduled periodic coordination meetings to review progress and determine next steps toward formal pilot or commercial agreements.
The partnership includes plans for joint demonstrations at key European defense exhibitions, beginning with DAIMEX BALTIC 2026 in Lithuania from May 12-14, 2026. Additional demonstrations are planned at the International Drone Summit in Riga on May 27, 2026, and the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Poland from September 8-11, 2026. These demonstrations will showcase the integrated capability to European defense and security stakeholders, subject to mutual agreement between the companies.
CiTech's Nexus platform addresses limitations of current rapidly deployable communication solutions through patented technologies that enhance tower strength and autonomous deployment capabilities. The platform supports various technological payloads, including LTE equipment and surveillance systems. Terma, founded in 1949, develops mission-critical products for defense, aerospace, and security applications, with expertise in radar systems, command and control solutions, and electronic warfare.
