The Dayton Region Walk of Fame continues its tradition of commemorating local heroes by inducting five new members in 2025, highlighting the city's rich cultural heritage and remarkable achievements.
The prestigious honor this year goes to actor Rob Lowe, pizza entrepreneur Vic Cassano Sr., funk band The Original Lakeside, the philanthropic Levin Family, and auto dealer Jenell Ross. Each inductee represents a unique aspect of Dayton's vibrant community, showcasing the city's ability to produce extraordinary talent across various fields.
Rob Lowe, a Dayton native, exemplifies local success in entertainment, having transitioned from a hometown kid to a Hollywood icon. Vic Cassano Sr. transformed a small grocery store side business into a regional pizza empire, becoming a culinary institution in the process.
The Original Lakeside brought national recognition to Dayton's music scene with their distinctive funk and soul sound, while the Levin Family represents immigrant resilience and community commitment through their philanthropic efforts. Jenell Ross stands out as a trailblazing businesswoman, being the only second-generation African-American woman auto dealer in the country.
Located in the historic Wright-Dunbar District, the Walk of Fame serves as more than a mere collection of names. It represents a living landmark that connects Dayton's past with its present, celebrating local legends who have made significant contributions to arts, business, and social progress.
The 2025 inductees will be formally recognized during a ceremony this fall, continuing the Walk of Fame's mission of honoring those who have shaped the city's identity and inspired future generations.
