Debt.com Unveils 2026 FinTalk Awards Nominees as U.S. Credit Card Debt Stays Near Historic Highs

As U.S. credit card balances remain near historic highs and household budgets tighten, Debt.com has announced the nominees for its 2026 FinTalk Awards. The awards honor financial content creators who are changing how Americans approach personal finance, according to a press release from the Fort Lauderdale-based company.

The nominees reflect a growing demand for relatable, judgment-free financial education. Their content ranges from ambitious debt payoff plans and student loan management strategies to practical household budgeting advice. These creators use short-form videos, long-form series, and community outreach to translate complex financial concepts into actionable, everyday habits.

“Financial education only works when it is accessible, authentic, and immediately actionable,” said Don Silvestri, President of Debt.com. “These creators are reaching Americans directly on their phones and in their communities, making financial topics that can often feel intimidating easier to understand and, more importantly, easier to put into practice.”

This year’s awards include a focus on Spanish-language content. Voting will remain open through October 9, 2026, giving Hispanics across the country the opportunity to vote for their favorite creators in the Best Spanish-Language Financial Content Creator category.

The nominees in that category are Moneyaccion, Mamaperonoaburrida, Soymmvelasquez, Neurodany, and Xavier Serbia. Moneyaccion, led by Alex, simplifies topics such as saving, investing, and debt management through humorous, relatable content. Elizabeth Inciarte of Mamaperonoaburrida aims to show that you don’t have to be a millionaire to start investing and building a solid financial future. María Mercedes Velasquez of Soymmvelasquez helps women over 40 take control of their money and invest with confidence, with a core message that it is never too late to build financial freedom. Daniela Salazar, known as Neurodany and author of two books, teaches audiences about investing, trading, and personal finance through social media and in-person workshops. Xavier Serbia brings more than 20 years of experience and is recognized for explaining financial topics in a clear, practical, and accessible way for the Hispanic community.
