Emmanuel Ceysson to Perform at USA International Harp Competition Fall Concert Series

Emmanuel Ceysson, the esteemed Principal Harpist at the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will be gracing Bloomington, Indiana, with a special performance as part of the USA International Harp Competition's (USAIHC) Fall Concert Series. Ceysson, known for defying the traditional cliches associated with the harp with his vibrant enthusiasm and boundless energy, is set to make this concert an unforgettable experience.

Born and raised in France, Ceysson's illustrious career began with his studies at the Paris Conservatoire. His talent has been recognized globally, earning him numerous top-tier international awards, including the prestigious gold medal at the 2004 USA International Harp Competition. His reputation as a soloist has been cemented through performances at major venues such as Carnegie Zankel Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Ceysson's extensive discography spans solo, chamber music, and concerto harp repertoire, released under esteemed labels like Naxos and Alpha Classics. His recordings have consistently received high praise from specialized music press, further establishing his authority and excellence in the field.

Joyce Claflin, Board President of USAIHC, expressed the organization's honor in hosting Ceysson for this event. Claflin emphasized the unique opportunity this concert presents for students at the Jacobs School of Music and the wider community to experience a performance by such a distinguished artist. The event will also include a special reception, allowing attendees to meet Ceysson in person.

In addition to his performance, Ceysson has recently taken on the role of Associate Artistic Director for USAIHC.
