eQuorum Introduces ScanNTap™ for Instant Access to Critical Engineering Documents

eQuorum, a leading provider of engineering workflow and document management solutions, has announced the release of ScanNTap™, a groundbreaking technology designed to streamline workflow and maintenance management processes. This new technology enables engineering teams to effortlessly access crucial drawings and documents by scanning a QR code with any device, including tablets, smartphones, and laptops, without requiring an app.

ScanNTap allows administrators and users to generate custom QR codes to tag various assets such as equipment, facilities, piping, and assemblies. This facilitates quick identification and access to essential documents and drawings, including specifications, O&M manuals, standard operating procedures, safety data sheets, and maintenance checklists.

"ScanNTap helps organizations achieve improved workflow and maintenance productivity by streamlining access and retrievability to important data and by automating workflows. This reduces the volume of paperwork and labor to locate and print it, as well as ensuring the data and information being utilized is the correct and most current," stated Scott Brandt, President and CEO of eQuorum. He further emphasized the need for this technology in today's data-centric environment, where engineers, technicians, project managers, and construction crews can avoid delays and errors caused by outdated or incorrect information.

Supporting a variety of industries, including manufacturing, facilities management, utilities and energy providers, and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), ScanNTap enhances operating, maintenance, and audit procedures. It integrates checklists to track quality checkpoints, update equipment inspections and maintenance documents, capture operating and test results, and review equipment and assembly document sets in real-time, whether in the field, on the production floor, or in facilities.

Moreover, ScanNTap offers quick access to compliance documentation for ISO and regulated organizations, NIST audits, quality system testing, ITAR requirements, and other supporting documents essential for in-field training, certification, and onboarding efforts.

ScanNTap will be available in Spring 2024 alongside Version 12.1 of ImageSite® and EngineBox™. These products are built in HTML5 and do not require users to download software to their PCs or apps to their mobile devices, making them highly accessible and user-friendly.
