ESGold Corp. has successfully delivered Humphrey spiral concentrators to its Montauban site in Quebec, marking a significant step toward implementing its innovative tailings-to-cash flow model. The company's gravity separation circuit, designed to process up to 1,000 tonnes per day, represents a strategic approach to extracting value from historic mining waste.
The installation positions ESGold to potentially recover gold and silver from existing tailings, demonstrating an environmentally conscious method of resource extraction. CEO Paul Mastantuono confirmed that construction remains on schedule, with first production still targeted for the end of 2025.
This development occurs against the backdrop of a strengthening Canadian gold sector. Canada currently ranks as the fourth-largest global gold producer, with major companies like Barrick Gold, Kinross Gold, and B2Gold reporting robust first-quarter results in 2025.
In the coming weeks, ESGold plans to release an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) and a new 3D geological model for the Montauban property, situated 80 kilometers west of Quebec City. These forthcoming technical details could provide additional insights into the project's potential economic viability and resource potential.
