EvenKeel, an Idaho and Florida-based brand, has launched an expanded line of fishing shirts and on-the-water apparel designed to address fit issues common in outdoor gear. The new collection targets women, men, and children who spend significant time on the water, offering cuts that accommodate a wider range of body types without sacrificing performance.
The collection includes UPF 50+ sun shirts engineered for breathability during extended sun exposure. The fabrics are moisture-wicking and lightweight, built for a full day of fishing. According to Kelsie Baldwin, Founder at EvenKeel, LLC, the design was informed by feedback from hundreds of customers, especially women, who struggled with ill-fitting men's cuts or expensive gear that didn't last. "That is not a niche problem. That is most of the people actually out on the water," Baldwin said.
The women's fishing line features restructured fit patterns that account for differences in shoulder width, torso length, and overall silhouette, rather than simply scaling down a men's design. Sun protection remains consistent across all cuts, with UPF 50+ blocking more than 98% of UV radiation. The brand also expanded into youth sizing, recognizing the challenges of finding affordable, protective gear for children. Kids' UPF sun shirts start under $40, offering durability and breathability without the premium price tag.
Across the entire line, EvenKeel focused on UV protection, breathability in high-humidity conditions, and durability through repeated washing. Several core styles use a four-way stretch fabric for full range of motion during casting and paddling. The full collection is available now at EvenKeel's website, with most styles shipping within three to five business days. Extended sizing runs through 3XL in select styles.
