Family-Owned Window Company Brings European Tilt-and-Turn Windows to Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend

First Choice Window Solutions, a family-owned window and home exterior company based in Bulverde, Texas, just north of San Antonio, is expanding its service area south to Corpus Christi and introducing European tilt-and-turn windows to the Texas market. The move follows strong demand at a recent Corpus Christi home show, where the company was one of only three window companies exhibiting.

Several homeowners signed on after telling the owners that larger window companies had declined to service their area. "Coastal Bend homeowners deserve the same quality and attention as anyone in San Antonio," said Gabrielle Cervantes, co-owner of First Choice Window Solutions. "We kept hearing from people who couldn't even get a big company to come out to their house. We'll come out, we'll educate you, and we'll install it right."

The expansion matters for a region where homeowners have struggled to secure service from established players, leaving them with fewer options for major exterior upgrades. First Choice now serves homeowners from San Antonio through the Coastal Bend and every community in between, offering an alternative to the status quo.

At the center of the announcement is the tilt-and-turn window, a style common across Europe but rarely offered in Texas. Manufactured to order in Poland by Oknoplast, the window operates with a single handle: it tilts inward at the top for secure ventilation or swings fully open like a door for easy cleaning and fresh air. Multi-point locking seals the window tightly when closed. The windows are available in aluminum and uPVC vinyl frames, in 68 color options, with coastal-grade models suited to Gulf Coast conditions. The manufacturer has described Texas as its hardest market to crack, which leaves the style largely untapped across the state.

"These windows change the whole experience of a home, from how they look to how they operate," said Jonathan Cervantes, co-owner. "It's the newest and most exciting thing we offer. And if a homeowner isn't ready for a European window, we carry a full range of other options, including the name brands people already know and trust."

First Choice was founded on a simple question: where are the local window companies? Jonathan grew up working in his father's construction business, which has built fences, patio covers and concrete work for more than 30 years. He later spent years in window sales, traveling constantly for out-of-state companies. After the birth of their third child, he wanted to be home more. Gabrielle, who worked in multifamily property management and corporate learning and development, started researching and could not find a single locally owned and operated window company in San Antonio. She wrote a business plan, designed the brand, and about a year ago left her corporate job to build the company's back office full-time.

As a locally owned business with no fleet of trucks or network of statewide offices, First Choice passes its lower overhead on to homeowners, offering well-known window brands at lower prices, with professional installation. "We're not price gouging because we don't need to," Jonathan said on a recent episode of The Building Texas Show. "We don't have 75 trucks in the field or 20 offices across the state. We want people to know they can get a quality, name-brand window at a much lower cost."

Beyond windows, First Choice installs doors, siding and sunrooms, handling every exterior project below the roofline. Roofing and foundation work is handled through its partner, Texas Roof Guardians.

For homeowners, the announcement signals more than a new product. The owners shared signs that windows may need replacing: feeling the outside temperature near windows, high energy bills, leaks after heavy rain, and indoor humidity, drafts, dust and pollen. Jonathan said their monthly bill dropped from $400-$500 in a rental under 2,000 square feet to $150-$200 in a 3,200-square-foot home with better windows. "I always tell people to start with the exterior to protect the interior," he said. "And the best time to replace something is before it fails."

Homeowners from San Antonio to Corpus Christi can schedule an in-home consultation at firstchoicewindowsolutions.com. Gabrielle and Jonathan staff their own booth at home shows across the region, with upcoming appearances in November and January, where homeowners can see tilt-and-turn samples in person and talk directly with the owners.
