First Phosphate Corp has announced the completion of its 99-hole drill program at the Bégin-Lamarche project, totaling 25,929 meters. The drilling has uncovered a significant high-quality igneous phosphate deposit, with continuous phosphate mineralization over a length of 2,400 meters across three zones.
Chief Geologist Gilles Laverdiere detailed that a NI 43-101 resource estimate is currently in progress and will be immediately followed by a Preliminary Economic Assessment. In the Mountain Zone, 23 drill holes totaling 5,023 meters were completed, exhibiting grades of more than 10% P2O5 over widths ranging from 7 meters to 99 meters. The Southern Zone saw drilling at 100-meter spaced sections over a length of 1,700 meters, with 57 drill holes totaling 15,219 meters.
CEO John Passalacqua expressed optimism, stating that the company anticipates completing the resource estimate in the coming months, which marks a significant milestone in the project’s development.
