The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund will celebrate the careers and humanitarian efforts of football legends at its 14th Annual Mike Ditka's Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame Gala on May 30th at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont.
The event will recognize exceptional athletes who have made significant contributions both on and off the field. Six distinguished players will be inducted into the Gridiron Greats Class of 2025, including Pro Bowl center Olin Kreutz, Super Bowl cornerback Mark Collins, and tight end Vernon Davis.
A special highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Sylvia Mackey Award to Angela Biletnikoff, CEO of the Biletnikoff Foundation, which addresses critical social issues including substance abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking among young people.
Marv Levy, NFL and CFL Hall of Fame coach, will present Chris Draft with the Marv Levy Impact Award, recognizing his extraordinary leadership and dedication to supporting the military community.
The gala serves a critical purpose beyond celebration, as proceeds will directly benefit the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund. This nonprofit organization provides vital medical and financial support to retired NFL players experiencing significant hardships, addressing an often overlooked aspect of professional athletes' post-career challenges.
