Fretz RV has listed a 2027 Jayco Jay Flight 170BH travel trailer at $14,995, a figure the Souderton, Pennsylvania dealership displays as $8,998 below MSRP. The listing sits alongside its inventory of pop-up campers in PA and its rental fleet, giving Northeast shoppers several formats to compare before buying.

The pricing matters because travel trailer affordability has become a central question for households weighing a first RV purchase against rising trip costs. The Jay Flight 170BH carries a listed dry weight of 3,000 pounds and sleeps five, with a bunkhouse floorplan that creates a separate sleeping area for children or other travel companions. Fretz RV cautions that buyers should confirm the current price, included equipment, cargo capacity and loaded weight before purchase, since actual towing requirements may differ from the listed dry weight.

The dealership also lists folding pop-up campers from OPUS, a fold-down alternative to conventional travel trailers. Buyers can compare packed dimensions, sleeping arrangements, setup requirements and amenities to decide which type suits their plans.

For shoppers unsure about committing, Fretz RV’s rental fleet includes motorhomes and towable travel trailers. Listed examples include a Roadtrek Play Class B motorhome at 20 feet, 9 inches that sleeps two; a Leisure Travel Vans Unity MB Class B+ motorhome at 25 feet, 1 inch that sleeps two; a Winnebago Spirit 25B Class C motorhome at 26 feet, 4 inches; and a Jayco Jay Flight SLX 174BH travel trailer at 21 feet, 8 inches that sleeps up to five. Availability, rates and equipment may vary. The company’s try-before-you-buy program applies to eligible rentals lasting at least seven days, and customers who purchase an eligible new or pre-owned RV within 60 days after returning the rental may qualify for a credit equal to 50% of the rental cost, up to $1,000, toward the purchase.

The rental angle has practical weight for first-time buyers. Those considering Class B camper vans may value a smaller vehicle footprint and an integrated driving and living area, but should compare sleeping arrangements, passenger seating, kitchen facilities, storage and bathroom configurations. Pop-up campers fold down for travel, conventional travel trailers offer different floorplans, and Class C motorhomes combine the driving vehicle and living quarters for families needing more sleeping space. Each involves trade-offs in driving, towing, storage and campsite setup.

Fretz RV advises customers booking RV rentals in PA to confirm pickup and return times, rates, mileage limits, generator policies and included supplies, as well as driver requirements, insurance and trip restrictions. Towable buyers should check the tow vehicle’s rated capacity, hitch compatibility and the trailer’s loaded weight, while campground rules on length limits, electrical hookups, water access and parking also shape the decision.

“Shoppers can narrow the choice by matching the RV to the trip they plan to take,” said Steve Fretz, president of Fretz RV. “Sleeping capacity, towing limits, storage, setup time and how often the vehicle will be driven all affect whether a pop-up camper, towable trailer or motorhome makes sense.”

The family-operated, employee-owned dealership was founded in 1946 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and has represented Jayco for more than 35 years. Its Souderton site includes a 12,000-square-foot indoor showroom and a full-service repair facility staffed by RVIA-certified technicians. Customers should confirm current inventory, pricing and rental terms before visiting or booking.
