GL Homes Sponsors Event for Legal Aid Society's Developmentally Disabled Clients

GL Homes, a prominent real estate development company, recently sponsored a heartwarming event that brought together developmentally disabled clients of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County for a special pickleball lesson. The event, held at the GL Homes Valencia Grand community in Boynton Beach, was organized through the combined efforts of the Valencia Grand Sports Director Nico Osorio, Pickleball Pro Nahom Endrias, and several dedicated GL Homes employees who volunteered their time.

The participants, aged 26 to 32, are part of the Guardian Advocacy Project (GAP), a program run by the Legal Aid Society. Many of these individuals have aged out of the foster care system and rely on the Legal Aid Society for essential support and advocacy to avoid homelessness. This nonprofit organization serves as both health surrogate and legal guardian for these adults, providing them with critical services and support.

"Leading the event and hosting the Legal Aid Society's clients for a pickleball session was a real honor. Seeing their enthusiasm just emphasized the importance of community. It was a great day, full of joy and genuine connections," said Nico Osorio, Sports Director at Valencia Grand.
