Goldbergs Fine Foods Hosts Annual Holiday Toy Drive Supporting Foster Children in Georgia

Goldbergs Fine Foods, an Atlanta-based New York-style deli and restaurant, has launched its third annual Holiday Toy Drive to support the Foster Care Support Foundation, a Georgia nonprofit that provides free clothing, infant equipment, and developmental toys to children in foster and relative care. The drive runs from December 2 through December 20 at all participating Goldbergs locations, excluding the airport location.

The initiative invites community members to donate new, unwrapped toys, games, art supplies, and other gifts to help brighten the holidays for local children in need. As an incentive, each donor will receive a free bagel and cream cheese. Goldbergs is also promoting limited-time seasonal offerings including the Gingerbread Bagel and Orange Cranberry Cream Cheese during the drive period.

"We are honored to once again support the Foster Care Support Foundation and help bring joy to children who may otherwise feel overlooked during the holidays," said Bradley Saxe, Co-CEO of Goldbergs Fine Foods. "Goldbergs has been part of the Atlanta community for more than 50 years, and giving back to our neighbors and children in need is a responsibility we hold close to our hearts."

The Foster Care Support Foundation, which has served tens of thousands of Georgia children since 2000, will distribute the donated items through their store where individuals can select items for free. The organization focuses on serving basic-care foster children residing in Georgia's foster homes administered by the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and children housed by private agencies.

Suggested donations include toys for all ages, Legos, craft kits for teens, and games for children ages six and older, with the greatest need being for toys suitable for children ages eight and older. All donations must be new and unwrapped. For more information about the toy drive and participating locations, visit https://www.goldbergsfinefoods.com.

This initiative represents a significant community partnership addressing the needs of vulnerable children during the holiday season. The Foster Care Support Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, provides essential resources to children in foster care throughout Georgia. More information about their work can be found at https://www.fostercares.org.

The holiday toy drive demonstrates how local businesses can leverage their community presence to support important social causes. For children in foster care, who often face instability and limited resources, such initiatives provide not only material support but also a sense of belonging and community care during what can be a challenging time of year.
