Golden Cariboo Buys Hixon Camp to Enable Year-Round Exploration at Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has closed the purchase of a 5.36-acre freehold property in Hixon, British Columbia, giving the company title to a camp it says is central to running exploration at its nearby Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property throughout the year. The two adjacent lots sit on Highway 97 and were acquired for a total purchase price of $300,000 CAD, completing a transaction first announced in the company's May 19, 2026 news release, according to www.newmediawire.com.

The significance for investors and the wider Cariboo mining sector lies in timing. The Hixon camp is intended to support continuous exploration and development at the Quesnelle property, which sits roughly four kilometers northeast of Hixon and is road accessible. Golden Cariboo said the acquisition represents a key investment in its operational readiness and long-term capacity, enabling it to operate 12 months a year rather than being constrained by seasonal field conditions.

Company President and CEO J. Frank Callaghan framed the year-round capability as a competitive distinction. "Being able to work 12 months a year sets Golden Cariboo apart from many peer group companies," he stated, adding that the acquisition will support the company's focus on building upon and expanding its inaugural NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate announced on September 30, 2026. For a junior explorer, the ability to keep drills and crews active through winter can compress timelines between resource updates, a factor that may matter to shareholders watching development milestones.

The company has already mobilized its Atco 5 unit skid-mounted trailers to the site to provide near-term accommodation and operational support infrastructure for field personnel and contractors. Behind the scenes, water studies, permitting and engineered plans are in progress to prepare the camp for full installation. Aqua Tech Ltd of Kelowna and Western Water Associates Ltd of Prince George have been onsite to complete water testing and water quality analysis, which includes review by Northern Health, with results pending. Either the existing water licence at the camp will be transferred to Golden Cariboo or a new licence may need to be applied for.

On the wastewater side, Golden Cariboo has engaged Prince George-based L&M Engineering Ltd. to complete engineering plans and permitting for either an upgraded or new septic system. The company said this work ensures the site will be fully functional and compliant with applicable regulations.

The Quesnelle property covers a 96,183-hectare area along a corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults, bordered by Osisko Gold Group Inc. and partly intertwined with it at the north end of the Cariboo Gold Project. The company describes its Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865, as showing strong geological similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit. Golden Cariboo trades on the CSE under GCC and on the OTC under GCCFF. Further details are available at www.goldencariboo.com.
