Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report on SEDAR+ supporting its previously announced inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for the Halo-North Hixon zones, known as the Halo deposit, at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property near Hixon in central British Columbia. The report, dated October 31, 2026, covers a property located about 50 km southeast of Prince George.
The filing matters because it moves the Halo discovery from a drill result into an independently validated mineralized system. The Technical Report was prepared by independent Qualified Persons Jean Pautler, P.Geo., of JP Exploration Services Inc., and Sue Bird, P.Eng., of Bird Resource Consulting Corp., both of whom provided written consents to the filing. The document is available under the Company's profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca and on the Company's website at www.goldencariboo.com.
Company President and CEO J. Frank Callaghan framed the milestone in terms of speed and scale. "Few discoveries reach the resource stage this quickly, with just 24 drill holes," he stated. "What began as the Halo discovery and recently recognized by the BC Geological Survey as a significant mineral occurrence, the Halo and North Hixon Zones have now been independently validated as a substantial mineralized system with considerable room for growth. The NI 43-101 provides a strong foundation as we continue to explore the multiple trends and work towards expanding and upgrading the resource."
For investors and the wider mining sector, the filing is a formal validation step. A NI 43-101 report is the disclosure standard Canadian securities regulators require for mineral projects, and an inaugural resource estimate gives the market a defined asset to evaluate rather than exploration speculation alone. The independent Qualified Person sign-off adds credibility that a company-prepared estimate would not carry on its own. The full release is available through www.newmediawire.com.
The technical information in the release was reviewed and approved by Sue Bird, a Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of BC and licensed by Engineers and Geoscientists BC, and a Qualified Person with respect to NI 43-101.
Golden Cariboo holds a property encompassing 96,183 hectares (237,673 acres) along a 90 km gold trend that has yielded gold from more than 101 placer creeks. The land borders and is partially interwoven with Osisko Gold Group Inc.'s Cariboo Gold Project and lies along the Spanish and Eureka thrust fault corridor. The 789 hectare permitted portion, 4 km northeast of Hixon, hosts the historic Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865 during the Cariboo Gold Rush. Early mining focused on a roughly 150m by 150m footprint at the Main zone, while the Company's drilling and trenching programs are demonstrating potential for a much larger mineralized system beyond the historic workings.
The Company has signaled that further exploration across multiple trends, and work to expand and upgrade the resource, will follow. Its cautionary statements note that such forward-looking plans depend on available resources and are subject to risks including unanticipated costs or delays and the possibility that further exploration may not result in resource expansion or upgrades.
