Green Choice Proteins, an Australian plant-based nutrition company, is preparing to enter the United States with a lineup of plant protein powders, betting that American consumers increasingly want convenient, protein-rich foods that fit into daily routines rather than strict vegan or vegetarian diets. The company said its approach reflects a broader evolution in plant-based eating, where interest has moved beyond meat and dairy alternatives toward products that emphasize protein content, ingredient transparency, flavor, and convenience.
"Plant-based nutrition doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing lifestyle choice," said Puneet Chawla, founder of Green Choice Proteins. "We believe consumers should have access to high-quality plant protein products that fit naturally into their everyday lives, whether they're focused on fitness, general wellness or simply making more thoughtful food choices."
The company's initial U.S. product lineup includes three plant-based protein powders. Its Chocolate Flavored Protein Powder delivers 35.3 grams of plant protein per serving and is made with Australian-grown pea and faba proteins, pure cocoa powder, coconut milk powder, and omega-3 from linseed. The Vanilla Flavored Protein Powder provides 34.9 grams of plant protein per serving and is designed for smoothies, oats, baking, and everyday nutrition routines. The Salted Caramel Flavored Protein Powder also offers 34.9 grams of plant protein per serving, combining caramel sweetness with balanced salted notes. All three products contain no artificial colors, flavors, or fillers.
"Taste and convenience are just as important as the nutritional profile," Chawla added. "Our goal is to create products that people genuinely enjoy incorporating into their routines. We want plant-based nutrition to feel accessible and practical, not complicated or restrictive."
Manufactured in Victoria, Australia, Green Choice Proteins emphasizes ingredient transparency, responsible sourcing, and clean-label formulations. The family-owned company uses Australian-grown pulses as a foundation for its products while incorporating other selected ingredients.
The U.S. push follows the company's participation in September's ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Green Choice Proteins is preparing to introduce its products to American consumers through OneLavi and Amazon, representing the initial stages of a broader strategy to establish its Australian-made plant nutrition products in the United States.
The expansion comes as plant-based nutrition continues to broaden beyond traditional categories. Plant proteins are increasingly used as convenient ingredients in smoothies, breakfast foods, and baking, opening opportunities for brands that combine quality ingredients with enjoyable flavors and convenient formats. For U.S. consumers, the arrival of Green Choice Proteins adds another option in a growing market for clean-label, high-protein plant products. For the industry, the move signals that Australian plant-protein makers see the U.S. as a key growth market, even as competition intensifies. The company's focus on transparency and no artificial additives could pressure rivals to match those standards. As more consumers seek practical ways to add plant protein to their diets, Green Choice Proteins aims to position itself as a trusted, Australian-made choice for everyday wellness, performance, and recovery.
