IntusCare, a technology company specializing in healthcare solutions for older adults, has added Marcus Whitney to its Board of Directors. Whitney, founder and managing partner of Jumpstart Health Investors (JHI), brings extensive experience in healthcare venture capital and innovation to the organization.
As a board member, Whitney is expected to contribute strategic insights to IntusCare's mission of enhancing care for elderly populations. His background in investing in high-impact healthcare solutions that address disparities aligns closely with the company's goals of developing technology for PACE and value-based care organizations.
Whitney joins IntusCare at a pivotal moment as the company expands its technological capabilities. Recently, IntusCare launched CareHub, an electronic medical record and practice management solution, and IRIS, a risk adjustment system specifically designed for PACE and value-based care providers.
IntusCare CEO Robbie Felton highlighted Whitney's potential impact, stating that his visionary approach will help the company develop technology that enables healthcare providers to deliver more effective and compassionate care to underserved elderly populations.
Beyond his venture capital work, Whitney brings additional credibility through his diverse professional background. He is a best-selling author, Aspen Health Innovators Fellow, and serves on multiple healthcare-related boards. He is also a World Master Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and co-founder of Nashville Soccer Club.
Whitney's appointment represents a strategic move for IntusCare to strengthen its leadership and continue innovating in the geriatric healthcare technology space, potentially improving care outcomes for some of the most vulnerable populations in the U.S. healthcare system.
