The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) today officially opened its seven flagship lifestyle and licensing events, drawing over 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. The events, running from April 28 to 30, include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. They are held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo.
HKTDC Executive Director Sophia Chong emphasized Hong Kong's strategic position: "Hong Kong has long served as the key gateway for global businesses connecting with the Chinese Mainland, playing the role of super connector and super value-adder that bridges the Chinese Mainland's vast market with the rest of the world." She highlighted Hong Kong's innovation ecosystem and intellectual property infrastructure as key advantages for companies seeking to grow and commercialize creativity.
The Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle feature a new "Reimagine" themed floor showcasing trends in lifestyle homeware and gifting products. Highlights include the Camel Brand MINI20 thermos blind box by Wei Yit Vacuum Flask Manufactory, celebrating the brand's 85th anniversary, and PREN Ltd's infection-prevention mobile toilet that requires no installation or water. The Hall of Fine Designs at the Gifts & Premium Fair gathers over 100 exhibitors with design-led products, including Star Industrial's Red A "Made in Hong Kong" blind boxes and Moral Team Holdings' Napier Coded backpack for pickleball enthusiasts made from recycled materials.
Home InStyle presents the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, featuring over 20 local enterprises. Highlights include Scan Infinity's TechFitX Smart Sports Training System for seniors and Lotux International's biodegradable tableware made from lotus stems. The Cultural and Creative Avenue gathers design institutions from over 10 countries, with Pantone returning as colour partner to present home décor trends featuring the PANTONE 2026 Colour of the Year "Cloud Dancer".
Fashion InStyle's NEXT zone, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, showcases over 60 exhibitors demonstrating material innovation. Belgium's Bloom Biotech presents microalgae leather, the world's first carbon-neutral leather alternative. Finland's Spinnova PLC offers SPINNOVA®, a next-generation textile fibre from wood or waste cellulose. Vietnam's Thai Son S.P Co., Ltd. features ramie fabric with over 3,000 years of history. Designer Han Chong leads six local brands incorporating forward-looking materials from eight suppliers, including the world's lightest H2 fabric from Chargeurs PCC and mycelium leather from MYCL-Mycotech Lab.
The Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong highlight eco-friendly solutions, including Elements Printing and Packaging's FSC Transparent Non-plastic packaging and BSN International's RFID labels with paper-based inner layers. DeLuxe PrintPack features Ijen Enterprises' 3D rotating music boxes and Marshallom's floral-and-bird paper lantern canister.
The Hong Kong International Licensing Show introduces a new IP and e-Commerce Support Services zone, uniting e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands capitalize on e-commerce growth. Headline IPs include Potatoz by 9GAG Limited, LuLu the Piggy by Toyzeroplus, and Café de Bollo by Yogurt Studio. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference features speakers from Licensing International, FIFA, and COVER Corporation discussing global trends, sports licensing, and virtual YouTubers' connection with Gen Z.
Throughout the fairs, around 60 seminars and events cover topics such as the silver economy, sustainability, and generative AI in printing. The events underscore Hong Kong's position as a hub for innovation, sustainability, and cross-border commerce, offering global buyers and exhibitors a platform to explore new opportunities and trends.
