The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, running for four consecutive days. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and jointly with MMI Asia Pte Ltd, the twin fairs bring together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, showcasing consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, smart living, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The debut of the Future Industries Zone marks a significant push to position Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology centre.
Sophia Chong, HKTDC Executive Director, said the Future Industries Zone reflects the commitment to evolve the fairs alongside the industry and supports the strategic direction set out in the Policy Address and the First Five-Year Plan. The zone, jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, and supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, focuses on five key themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics, and Future Wellness. Led by major innovation and technology institutions, including Cyberport and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, the zone features over 100 exhibitors and a series of forums with speakers from AWS, IBM, Lenovo, and HPE.
The expanded RoboPark showcases more than 120 robots, demonstrating applications in commercial services, industrial logistics, entertainment, and healthcare. Highlights include AgiBot Innovation’s full-sized humanoid robot Agibot A3 and UBTECH’s Walker C1. The GoGlobal Connect Zone offers advisory services to help enterprises, particularly from the Chinese Mainland, expand internationally through Hong Kong. As a member of the government-led GoGlobal Task Force, the HKTDC reinforces Hong Kong’s role as a superconnector.
The fairs have organised 130 buying missions from 65 countries and regions, connecting global buyers with innovative supply chains. The event also features over 120 start-ups and a comprehensive programme of forums, including the 11th Symposium on Innovation & Technology.
