HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to stage four flagship technology fairs in October 2026, expecting to draw some 6,200 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The events, announced at a press conference on September 30, 2026, will showcase cutting-edge technologies spanning consumer electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, future industries, smart lighting, and smart city applications. The fairs reflect global trends in industrial upgrading and digital transformation, and underscore Hong Kong's role as a two-way global investment and business hub.
The 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 29th electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 13 to 16 October. The 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo from 26 to 29 October, while the 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held at the HKCEC from 27 to 30 October. The twin lighting fairs are expected to bring together some 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions under the theme “Beyond Illumination.”
A key highlight of this year's Electronics Fair is the new Future Industries Zone, supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government and jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA). The zone will focus on five key themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics, and Future Wellness. More than 100 exhibitors, including industry leaders such as Lenovo, AV Concept, and GP Energy Tech, will present cutting-edge solutions. The fair will also feature a start-up pitching competition and forums on technology talent development and industry application matching.
HKTDC Associate Executive Director Silas Chu said the fairs support the Hong Kong SAR Government's strategic directions to consolidate Hong Kong's status as an international trade centre and expedite its development into an international innovation and technology hub. “The HKTDC is introducing several new elements at this year’s October fairs, including a new Future Industries Zone at the Autumn Electronics Fair, expanded showcases and business-matching opportunities for AI and robotics technologies to help companies connect with funding, talent, technology and international markets,” Chu said.
The Autumn Electronics Fair will showcase more than 120 robots, primarily in RoboPark, demonstrating applications across commercial and services, industrial and logistics, entertainment and social, and healthcare and rehabilitation. Exhibitors include AgiBot, the world’s leading humanoid robot manufacturer by shipment volume in the first half of 2026, as well as UBTECH, Booster Robotics, and several prominent companies from the “Shenzhen Eight Great Guardians” and “Hangzhou Six Little Dragons.” Interactive experiences such as the RoboDog Garden, a robot football exhibition, and a Coffee & Popcorn Station will allow visitors to engage with robotics firsthand.
A dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone will provide advisory services for businesses, encouraging more Chinese Mainland enterprises to leverage Hong Kong as a platform for expanding into international markets. The zone will host “GoGlobal” themed forums featuring representatives from the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation, TechNode, Hang Seng Bank, and OCBC Bank (Hong Kong).
The lighting fairs will highlight smart connectivity, healthy living, immersive spatial experiences, and sustainability. The Hall of Connected Lighting will feature more than 60 leading brands, including Signify, Casambi, and TUYA. Signify will collaborate with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team to present a racing simulator experience. A new LED Display Solution Zone will launch, featuring Ledman Hong Kong’s QS Series IceScreen LED Display, which was deployed at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will focus on smart city lighting trends, with exhibitor Fonda Technology showcasing intelligent lighting solutions based on its FondaCity AIoT Cloud Platform.
The fairs will adopt the HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical and online participation. The online exhibition period for the Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will run from 6 to 23 October, while the lighting fairs’ online exhibitions will be available from 19 October to 6 November.
