Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) marked a significant milestone with its 10th annual World Peace Summit, drawing approximately 100,000 attendees to the HWPL Peace Training Institute in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The event, which took place on September 18, was part of a global commemoration held in about 40 countries worldwide.

Under the theme "Building a Global Peace Community Through Regional Cooperation," HWPL Chairman Man-hee Lee emphasized the importance of unity in his speech, urging attendees to work together to sustain peace for future generations. The summit highlighted a decade of peace-building efforts and outlined strategies for promoting global harmony.

In a significant move towards regional cooperation, HWPL announced new partnerships with the Group of Seven Plus (g7+) and the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO). These collaborations aim to advance peace initiatives across conflict-affected nations and foster development on democratic foundations.

The summit also saw the launch of the national campaign "Together: Connecting Korea," which aims to bridge generational gaps and promote peace activities. This initiative, set to collaborate with over 230 civil society organizations, draws inspiration from the New Village Movement that drove Korea's economic development in the 20th century.

The "Together" campaign seeks to address social conflicts arising from divisions across generations, regions, genders, and ideologies through solidarity and cooperation. It plans to expand its reach globally, assigning individuals roles in promoting peace under the slogan "Let Us All Become Messengers of Peace for the Global Village."

This large-scale gathering and the initiatives launched during the summit underscore the growing global emphasis on peace-building through regional cooperation. The event's success and the breadth of its partnerships highlight the potential for grassroots movements to impact international relations and social harmony. As these efforts continue to expand, they may play a crucial role in shaping a more peaceful and interconnected world.
