Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. has received an initial purchase order from a global provider of AI-based security and drone systems for a trial unit of its Batt Pack Energy portable power system. The customer, which serves public safety agencies and defense organizations, will evaluate the system's performance in field operations where reliable, quiet power is essential for mission-critical activities.
The Batt Pack Energy offers emission-free, modular operation as an alternative to traditional fuel generators. CEO Francois Byrne stated that this order represents expansion into the public safety and defense technology sector, aligning with the company's mission to deliver clean power solutions that reduce noise, fuel logistics, and emissions. Following successful trials, this engagement could lead to a follow-on program of 500-600 units over 18 months, though no assurance of such orders exists.
The customer chose the Batt Pack Energy due to its innovative capabilities and Hybrid Power Solutions' flexibility to add customer-specific features. Canadian manufacturing and a robust supply chain were also factors in the purchasing decision. Customer information will be released after trial completion and approval.
Additionally, Hybrid Power Solutions will participate as one of ten selected Canadian companies in the Arizona Transportation Roadshow from January 20-23, 2026. Organized by the Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with Global Ties Arizona, the event will facilitate meetings with Arizona's transportation, logistics, and infrastructure leaders. Activities include panels on multimodal transportation, site visits to facilities like COSIC LLC and Mesa Gateway Airport, and engagements with cities including Phoenix and Mesa.
A targeted B2B meeting with Arizona Public Service will explore collaboration opportunities in clean energy for utility applications. Byrne noted that the roadshow provides a platform to showcase fuel-free power technologies in one of North America's fastest-growing mobility hubs and build partnerships for sustainable transportation initiatives across the U.S.-Canada border.
The Batt Pack Energy's compact, rugged design makes it suitable for powering sensitive electronics and extended field deployments where quiet, low-emission performance is prioritized. Hybrid Power Solutions aims to collaborate with the defense customer throughout the trial period while leveraging insights from the Arizona Roadshow to drive further market expansion into public safety ecosystems and sustainable infrastructure applications.
