Independent Lab Reaccreditation Bolsters Innovative Designs' R-Value Claims for Insultex House Wrap

Innovative Designs, Inc. (OTCQB: IVDN) has announced that BRC Laboratory, the independent testing facility used to verify the R-value of its Insultex House Wrap®, has received reaccreditation from Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation Inc. (PJLA). The accreditation, with an issue date of August 19, 2026, and expiration date of November 30, 2028, confirms that BRC Laboratory operates in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

This reaccreditation is significant because it provides independent verification of the laboratory's technical competence and ability to produce reliable test results. For Innovative Designs, this bolsters the credibility of its R-value claims for Insultex House Wrap, a product designed to provide thermal insulation in building construction. The company's CEO, Joseph Riccelli, expressed satisfaction with the reaccreditation, noting that it “gives credibility to our claims and peace of mind to users of the product.” He added that PJLA accreditation is recognized worldwide and should assist in sales and marketing efforts to the building industry.

The announcement has been well-received by key partners. Cassidy Brummel, CEO of Built Link Solutions, a distributor of Insultex House Wrap, stated, “We are extremely pleased with the latest testing achievements that IDI has surpassed with Insultex House Wrap. With the new testing and future testing to come, our sales will multiply with unknown magnitude.” Brummel also expressed confidence that manufacturing will meet increased demand. Randy Kimbler, Director of Business Development for Built Link Solutions, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the product's quality and the importance of ASTM certified laboratory testing.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard serves as the primary international benchmark for testing and calibration laboratories. It requires laboratories to implement effective quality management systems, emphasizing risk-based thinking and scientific rigor. The 2017 edition updated the standard to address developments in information technology and vocabulary, and it aligns more closely with other frameworks like ISO 9001. This accreditation applies broadly to any organization performing sampling, testing, or calibration, regardless of size or field.

BRC Laboratory, located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, has been accredited to perform testing for Insultex House Wrap. The certificate (L26-760) can be viewed on the Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation website at PJLA's accredited organizations page.

This development is important for the construction industry as it provides assurance that the R-value claims for Insultex House Wrap are backed by a laboratory that meets international standards. Independent verification is crucial for builders and consumers who rely on accurate performance data to make informed decisions about insulation products. The reaccreditation also reinforces the product's credibility in the marketplace, potentially leading to increased adoption and sales.

Innovative Designs, Inc. manufactures the Insultex House Wrap and Arctic Armor® Line under the “i.d.i.gear” label featuring patented INSULTEX® technology.
