JoySauce TV Launches on Roku, Becoming the Most Widely Distributed Network for AAPI Stories

JoySauce TV, the streaming network dedicated to American Asian stories and Asian pop culture, has officially launched on The Roku Channel, according to an announcement made today. This move grants the network access to more than 100 million households, making it the first AAPI-focused channel to be added to Roku's platform. The launch follows recent distribution deals with Amazon Prime Video and Plex, positioning JoySauce as the most widely distributed TV network for AAPI content.

The expansion comes as JoySauce continues to build momentum in the entertainment industry. The network, founded in 2020 by tech entrepreneur Jonathan Sposato, was created to fill a gap in media representation for American Asians. With a growing library of original and acquired content, including scripted comedies, films, reality shows, documentaries, and stand-up specials, JoySauce aims to serve both underserved AAPI audiences and general viewers interested in diverse perspectives.

Programming highlights include "JoySauce Late Night," the first AAPI late-night talk show; "Jokes with JoySauce," an all-AAPI stand-up comedy series currently under Emmy consideration; and "Team Tan," which follows professional race car driver Samantha Tan. The network also streams live cultural events, showcases Asian cinema, and offers anime and tokusatsu favorites.

The Roku launch is a strategic step in reaching audiences where they consume content most: on connected TVs in the living room. "Five years ago, JoySauce started with a simple belief: American Asians deserve a much bigger stage," said Sposato. "Today, we're building that big stage. Launching on Roku is another important step toward making Asian American stories available wherever audiences choose to watch."

Brandon Ferguson, COO and CFO of JoySauce, emphasized the long-term vision: "Building a lasting media company isn't just about distribution or audience growth. It's about creating the platform that allows creators, communities, and great stories to thrive for years to come."

Narumi Inatsugu, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, added that the next chapter is about ownership. "Ownership of our stories. Ownership of our platforms. Ownership of the cultural conversations shaping how America sees itself."

The network's expansion also includes partnerships with distribution allies like Cineverse. JoySauce TV is available for free on Roku, Amazon Prime Video, Plex, YouTube, JoySauce.TV, and mobile apps. Additional programming and platform expansions are planned throughout 2026.
