Texas design-build firm KDW has reached a remarkable milestone, celebrating 130 consecutive years of family-owned operations that have transformed the state's architectural and construction landscape. From its origins in Nacogdoches in 1895 to its current multi-city presence, the company has built over $1 billion in projects while maintaining a commitment to client-focused excellence.
Founded by the Kingham family, the company has evolved significantly since its early days of constructing local infrastructure including schools, hospitals, and university buildings. In 2004, a strategic partnership transformed the business into Kingham Dalton Wilson (KDW), integrating decades of experience with modern building practices.
Today, KDW operates from offices in Houston, Austin, and Nacogdoches, offering an integrated design-build model that serves commercial and industrial clients nationwide. The firm's diverse portfolio includes projects for global companies like Elin Energy, Goya Foods, and MAN Energy Solutions, spanning manufacturing facilities, recycling centers, and destination venues.
Co-founder and CEO Keith Dalton emphasized the company's enduring philosophy of going beyond client expectations, noting that their success stems from building strong, transparent relationships. With over 100 multidisciplinary professionals, KDW continues to demonstrate how long-term commitment and adaptability can sustain a business through generations of economic and technological change.
