L&C Future Lab, a subsidiary of the KOSDAQ-listed company L&C Bio, has opened its first offline experience store for the innovative skin data-based beauty platform 'IM TYPE' at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, Korea. Developed in collaboration with Lululab and the Global Medical Research Center, IM TYPE leverages an extensive database of 4 million global skin data entries and 3,000 clinical research data entries to offer precise skin diagnoses and optimized beauty solutions via an AI kiosk-based system.
The IM TYPE platform distinguishes 90 different skin types across five spectrums, providing users with highly accurate skin diagnoses. Once diagnosed, visitors can purchase cosmetics in-store that are perfectly matched to their skin type based on the comprehensive data-driven diagnosis results.
The experience store features various exhibition spaces, including advanced AI skin diagnosis areas. New members receive a complimentary photo booth voucher for use in-store, and those who complete an on-site kiosk skin diagnosis are given sample kits. The company has also prepared numerous other exclusive benefits for visitors.
Located at the iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the IM TYPE experience store attracts a diverse range of visitors from around the world, including the United States, Russia, Japan, and China. This underscores the growing global interest in K-beauty and personalized skincare solutions.
IM TYPE plans to expand its reach by operating both brick-and-mortar and online stores to provide personalized cosmetic recommendations based on detailed skin data analysis. This dual approach aims to make advanced skincare solutions accessible to a broader audience, enhancing the global footprint of K-beauty.
