Liquid Death has become the official water partner of Campobasso FC, a historic Italian football club. This partnership signifies a major milestone for both Liquid Death and Campobasso FC, highlighting their mutual rise from obscurity to prominence.

Liquid Death, a rapidly growing non-alcoholic beverage brand, has announced its new role as the official water and flavored sparkling water partner of Italy’s Campobasso Football Club (Campobasso FC). The club, co-owned by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, has achieved two consecutive promotions over the past two years, marking a historic period for the 100-plus-year-old team.
The announcement was made on the popular U.S. talk show 'LIVE with Kelly & Mark,' featuring a guest appearance by Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool star exchanged jerseys with Consuelos, presenting a Wrexham A.F.C. jersey in return for a new Liquid Death branded Campobasso FC jersey.
Commenting on the partnership, Consuelos remarked, “The Campobasso journey has been a fairytale over the past two years, taking this club from the bottom to winning two consecutive promotions for the first time in our 100-plus year history. Much in the same way Liquid Death has built one of the boldest brands on the planet right now, we built Campobasso with precision, fearlessness and by dreaming big.”
As part of the multi-year agreement, fans will see Liquid Death prominently featured at all Campobasso FC concession stands, on stadium signage, special edition jerseys, and the team’s tour bus. Additional collaborative efforts include LED ad boards, product kiosks, and unique activations for Campobasso FC fans in North America.
Ryan Heuser, Liquid Death’s senior vice president of experiential marketing, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “This is our first venture into European football, and we couldn’t be more excited for it. We’re thrilled to bring our infinitely recyclable, ice-cold cans of Liquid Death to the highly passionate fans of Southern Italy’s historical club.”
Campobasso FC has seen a remarkable resurgence since being acquired by North Sixth Group, along with Ripa and Consuelos, in 2022. From having just 70 fans at matches to drawing 30,000 for its promotion celebration to Serie C, the club’s revival has been dramatic. Matt Rizzetta, Chairman of North Sixth Group, emphasized the shared values between the club and Liquid Death: “With Mike Cessario and Liquid Death, our journeys intersect in many ways and share the same values of perseverance, courage, and overcoming the odds.”
Located between Rome and Naples in the Molise region, Campobasso FC has a storied football tradition, having bested Italian giants like Juventus, AC Milan, and Lazio during its peak in the 1980s. The partnership with Liquid Death is expected to further elevate the club's profile and support its continued success on and off the pitch.
Liquid Death combines comedy and sustainability to market its products, capturing over 9.5 million followers on social media. A portion of the company’s proceeds is donated to nonprofits focused on fighting plastic pollution and providing clean drinking water.
